Experts say 84% of Russian firms have cybersecurity exposures
MOSCOW, Aug 12 (PRIME) -- The majority of Russian companies, or 84%, have high-risk cybersecurity vulnerabilities, information security company Positive Technologies said on Wednesday in a research.
“According to our research, high level vulnerabilities were revealed in 84% of the companies, and there is at least one node with a high level vulnerability with a public exploit in 54% of the companies,” Positive Technologies said.
“There are exploits for 10% of all revealed vulnerabilities in public access, which means a perpetrator can use every 10the vulnerability even without professional skills or a reverse engineering experience.”
Half of the vulnerabilities can be eliminated by installation of software updates, the experts said.
